Padar Island: A Scenic Marvel in Komodo National Park
Padar Island, located between Komodo and Rinca Islands in eastern Indonesia, is one of the most iconic destinations in Komodo National Park. Known for its dramatic landscapes and sweeping views, Padar offers a short but steep hike to a hilltop where visitors are rewarded with one of the most photographed panoramas in Indonesia—three crescent-shaped beaches, each with different colored sand: white, black, and pink.
Unlike its neighbors, Padar doesn’t have Komodo dragons, making it more about scenic adventure than wildlife. The best time to hike is at sunrise or sunset, when the golden light enhances the island’s rugged beauty. Whether you’re a photographer, hiker, or just someone chasing unforgettable views, Padar Island is a must-visit stop in any Flores or Komodo itinerary
